Linux

I currently use Arch Linux on two laptops (an Asus VivoBook Pro N580VD-FI038T and a Lenovo v320-17ikb) and a desktop PC.
Aside from having adopted systemd, which is a shame, I find Arch to be very good, since it's a rolling release distro, it doesn't install by default tons of stuff but a really tiny initial setup you can expand later with the programs you really need and like, it's usually very up-to-date with the upstreams, it's very customizable, it doesn't add a thick distro-specific layer to the packages, it's "vanilla oriented" enough, it doesn't require to compile packages but lets do it easily, it has the AUR which, though in some cases a bit chaotic, lets you easily install almost every linux software out there, and a very good support with the wiki and forums.
I started with some Red Hat, then Suse, both only for some months; then, for a long time, I used Gentoo Linux, then Ubuntu Linux (from 8.04 to 12.04), then I switched to Arch with XFCE on my laptop and Xubuntu on a desktop pc and a little remote server I manage for Istituto Ernesto de Martino.
